Overview
Working in a small team to create a new customer engagement tool for SAP, my role was conducting user research activities such as card sorting for information architecture, qualitative interviews for content management and task based testing for interface design.
In addition, I was the lead designer for 3 features of the portal enabling customization, personalization and dynamic content creation.
I was in charge of designing the entire mobile platform experience and visuals for this tool.
Portal Dashboards
Using the existing SAP Javascript frameworks and Design guidelines, I contributed to the recreation of dashboards for internal employees enabling them to create and analyze user feedback. My main role was user research, harmonizing task flows and interaction design.
Design Process Improvements
Since I joined the team I worked on improving design processes and make sure users were considered in each step of decision making. Some tools I created to do so were creating user personas including real contact lists to involve in feature design and development, research work flows and design processes.
Personas
1. Identified main stakeholder groups through research
2. Elaborated details and created user personas
3. Printed persona cards and large office posters using personas
4. Reached out to each group to find individuals willing to regularly participate in interviews
and surveys for future research, design and feature development
5. Attached a list of 10 contacts for each groups used in design and testing
6. Sent out persona prints to other members of team in France, Germany, Austria and United States.
